Response to an article in French on the Karaites

An article on the Karaites appeared recently on a French website.  Unfortunately, the article contained many errors, clichés, and even prejudices.  Members of our community immediately contacted the site's manager, who withdrew the article.  We thank the site manager for his understanding and prompt action.  Nevertheless, we feel the need to respond to the article.  The response cites the erroneous statements in the article, and presents a point by point correction. 

Our response is given in French, the language in which the article is written.  Unfortunately, outwardly objective texts on our small community are often permeated with biases and errors that even scholars do not recognize. For this reason, an English version, in the form of Myths and Facts, is currently being prepared.
