Karaites have many unique wedding customs and traditions. The Karaite Jewish community is indebted to Mourad El-Kodsi for his magnum opus, The Karaite Jews of Egypt: 1882-1986, in which he details many of these historical customs. The core of the ceremony remains intact to this day.
